We are looking at designated Aboriginal seats in the SA Parliament like Maori have in New Zealand. It will create a movement for establishing the Kaurna Elders Assembly as the first Aboriginal Parliament in Australia, and called the Kaurna Parliament. We are the "change" you want Increase jobs by a FAIRER, BETTER and MORE PRODUCTIVE policy for EQUITABLE social, economic and cultural change in our communities. Lynette Crocker is a Kaurna Elder seeking to increase the capacity and participation of all communities in the development of wealth production in the state. It’s time for the economic, social and cultural playing fields to cover the margins of SA’s social partnership.
Lynette’s experience in leadership and its community connections and compassionate direction for change balance her drive to make the difference for all in SA. The 21 st century requires a modern and multicultural leadership that is focussed on embracing the hardest challenges. SA’s greatest threat and stumbling block to prosperity is its inept handling of native land title.

She is standing for accountability in Government particularly fair treatment for all in Native Title and by the echelon of academic expertise about Aboriginal cultures. Only strong sustainability in environmental practices will sesure accountability to our children and future generations, and is calling for change on issues relating to transitional protection of the environment. Work across the community on groundbreaking projects and strategies informs policy development through accountable, co-operative and collaborative engagements with the community, government and agencies, to grass-roots community development projects and the establishment of tertiary programs. PARLIAMENT HOUSE RALLY AGAINST CORRUPTION 7th March 2009 My name is Dylan Coleman-Mastrosavas. I’m a Kokatha Mula/Greek woman from the far west coast of South Australia . Myself and Lynette Crocker, who is a Kaurna woman, are running for Legislative Council under ‘Independent SA Change.’ So what is ‘Independent SA Change? We are part of a United National Aboriginal Movement initiated by an 82 yr old, Worimi, Elder, of NSW, and we are calling for change:
Aboriginal people in this State are suffering from the failure in the foundation of this State, to recognize, respect and enforce our rights. We want to move forward but we constantly come up against brick walls that the current government and various institutions have in place - And we’ve had enough, we are not taking it any more, and you all need to know this. One example is that the current Government has privatized Australian Native Title process. SA Native Title Services (SANTS) is a company over which we have no corporate control or input. This company privileges some claimant groups over others and there are conflicts of interests that have been left unchecked. It is a process that neglects some Aboriginal voices and privileges other. This is the model being promoted for National Aboriginal representation and we outright we reject it. The impact is to finally destroy our equity in our inheritance under the Letters Patent. This was accelerated by the steps taken in this Parliament to deprive us of our rights to minerals. Why has Government designed and implemented this? This is a social corruption of our equal economic opportunity and equal civil political rights. This is the degradation of our inherited equity in our land. We are calling for the people to empower us as Aboriginal people, to take control of our own lives and negotiate the first introduction of accountable process in Government. The policy of open slather mining in South Australia over our inherited land that ignores the rights of Traditional Owners is an inherited corruption of responsible in South Australia - which was recognized in this Parliament in July, 1966 to justify the Aboriginal Lands Trust Act. But we had no say in it all. And we still have no say all. This corrupted system of responsible government is underpinned by an echelon of alleged academic expertise in Aboriginals affairs, including Aboriginal knowledge and language, who are feeding into and perpetuating these processes of systemic disempowerment. These issues need to be challenged, and investigated and corrected by the people of South Australia . To leave them unchecked is to build on corrupt foundations. So how do we come to terms with what has transpired in the history of this State? And how do we move forward in reconciliation to institute our full civil rights together in this place (Parliament). We are saying that the answer lies in Constitutional Change, in an Indentured Treaty with an inclusive Bill of Rights implementing for the first time the full import of the Letters Patent by all of us Coming to Terms with the territorial disenfranchisement of we, the Aboriginal people, and the destruction of our Aboriginal voice in our own land, so that we can move forward together. We have been pushed aside to make ‘Living Room’ for others who’ve come from outside our country, now its time to let us back in. Today, Lynette Crocker and I open the door and invite you to ‘Vote 1’ for ‘Independent SA Change’. To ‘Vote 1’ for those who have been shut out of and locked into a system for too long, so we can Come to Terms with the shameful past and move forward together in a fair, just and equitable way. MEDIA RELEASE Aboriginal Voices ABORIGINAL WOMEN RUN FOR LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL SAY: “It’s time for Change – and we’re the Change you want.” On the eve of International Women’s Day two strong Aboriginal women are running for Legislative Council in the next State Election under the name of ‘Independent SA Change’. Lynette Crocker, a Kaurna Elder, and Dylan Coleman-Mastrosavas, of the Kokatha Mula Nation, are part of a United Aboriginal Movement initiated by Les Ridgeway, an 82 year old, Worimi Elder, from NSW and they are calling for change. “We are calling for the electors of South Australia to empower us as Aboriginal people to take control of our own lives and negotiate the first introduction of accountable process in Government.” The women are proposing change in the following areas:
